Wdyt of tha name Finlan?
What do you think of the name Finlan for a boy? It's commonly a surname.
I don't like Finnegan, Finnian or Finlay much, but I rather like Finlan and the nickname Finn. Thoughts?

I don't like Finlan, theres just something that doesn't sound quite right with it and its not the fact its a surname as Ive never heard of it as a surname until you said it. however I LOVE Finn even as a name on its own, I also personally love Finley but if you don't and aren't 100% sure you want to use Finlan then Finn is just as cute, strong, ages well on its own.
EDIT: Funny others should say about "Finland" my spell checker kept wanting to change Finlan to Finland for me.

It's okay. I like Finn as a nickname, but Finlan is not my favorite. It sounds a bit like Finland.

Honestly, I don't like it that much. It looks incomplete for some reason, and most people would probably mistake it as a misspelling of Finland, the country. What about Finnick? I think that looks nicer and ages better than Finlan, and it's a -fin name, too.

Not really my cup of tea; makes me read it as Finland. But if you like it, you can use it.
