When Romney realizes all those jobs he claims he'll create will come from the production and development of alternative energy, he'll be on the global warming bandwagon very quickly. After all, there's tons of money to be made.

Here's what he says on the subject of Global Warming:

"I am uncertain how much of the warming, however, is attributable to man and how much is attributable to factors out of our control. I do not support radical feel-good policies like a unilateral U.S. cap-and-trade mandate. Such policies would have little effect on climate but could cripple economic growth with devastating results for people across the planet." - Mitt Romney No Apology, p. 227

I think that's pretty clear. That's the first quote from the page linked below - there's more on the page.

In 2007 he said in an interview, “I believe that God designed the universe and created the universe, and I believe evolution is most likely the process he used to create the human body.”

So there you have it, in his own words.

To me, his belief in evolution makes no difference; I don't think he has any plans to make his own personal beliefs a part of his agenda as President - I think he understands the protections of the first Amendment and the limitations of the office. Every one of our presidents in modern times has professed to be a committed member of their particular church - and when sliced up with a logical razor it is very difficult for anyone of any religion to reconcile their spiritual beliefs with evolution short of denying one or the other.

As for global warming, the most important aspect of this belief is that he has come out against letting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulate and limit emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. I think this is significant, and probably has as much to do with the unelected and unregulated power of the EPA as it does global warming.

To one extent or another - and in the case of the EPA certainly - government agencies are about their own survival and their own power. Frequently, their name does not describe accurately what they do - and I do not believe that the Environmental Protection Agency protects the environment.

Romney hasn't talked about evolution much since 2007 but at that point he did believe in evolution. However he has flip-flopped about global warming.

June 2011 - "I don't speak for the scientific community, of course, but I believe the world's getting warmer. I can't prove that, but I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer. And number two, I believe that humans contribute to that. I don't know how much our contribution is to that, because I know that there have been periods of greater heat and warmth in the past but I believe we contribute to that. And so I think it's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may well be significant contributors to the climate change and the global warming that you're seeing."

October 2011 - "My view is that we don't know what's causing climate change on this planet. And the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try to reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us"

Romney is a smart and practical man. Sure he believes in evolution and global warming. He just doesn't believe in Darwinism or man made global warming.

Who knows. Romney has changed his views to conform to those of whatever audience he is currently addressing.

We have no way of knowing what his actual views are, if he really has any.

I am so glad zero voters care about this irrelevant nonsense.

People care about jobs, economy, and debt.

No. He wants to abolish the teaching of science and replace it with creationism.
