Having trouble giving my dog a pill?
I am finding it hard to give my dog a flea pill. I've tried sticking it down her throat but she bites my hand. I've tried to hide it in a treat but the pill smells and the only treat she eats is cheese which doesn't mask the smell. She doesn't eat dog food or cat food just chicken necks.
Can anyone offer any solutions?

I would recommend picking up Pill Pockets.
Pill Pockets are a hollowed out treat designed to make giving medication to your pet easier.
Stick the pill into the pocket and pinch it closed, then feed it to your dog. I would recommend feeding a couple of empty ones so she knows they are a tasty treat.
Hope that helps :)

Take two spoons and crush the pill between the two spoons. Extend the time between meals as long as possible to ensure that the dog becomes really hungry. Sprinkle the powder in the dogs main meal. The dog should eat it without any further hassles unless she associates the smell of the pill now with fear.

Do you have that cheese like food product in a can?
I put the pill down and squirt a curlie-Q of cheese atop it, they have to lick it up and can't avoid the pill underneath. Or a gob of peanut butter will work too.

Buy a Pill Plunger or pill gun. They are about 3 bucks or your vet will probably give you one if you ask. They are like a syringe type but way longer which allows you to get the pill back in the throat far enough with out your hand getting bitten. Awesome and fast. Type in "pill gun" pictures and you will see how it is used and what it looks like. They are great to keep around if you have pets. ")

Put some chicken in a dog bowl and then crush up the pill really hard till it's a powder.
Then put it in the chicken and stir it up! :D

You can buy a small balling gun (pill pusher) at the pet store to avoid having your fingers bitten, or you can try putting it in peanut butter. I don't know a dog alive that won't go for peanut butter.
