Why do 10% of the population own 80% of the wealth?

Because their wealth has allowed them to buy the services of those who write the tax code and it's all been skewed in their favor.

Politicians making laws that allow it which is one good reason to end lobbyist.

I don't actually know but some were handed companies and with a lot of smarts actually caused companies to grow and hire employees. Really there were more back 20 years ago but as you go to any town, look how many business have gone broke! When I was a kid there were at least 45 business in town now there are only Grocery stores and dollar Stores. That means that it may get worse if one of these wealthy people die and nobody can do for the companany they do!

Because that 10% of the population are the ones that have small business and large corporations.

Here is an unpleasant truth. If you liberals had your way, confiscated every penny from every American citizen, and redistributed it equally among every citizen, within five years the rich would be rich again and the poor would be poor again. Someone who makes poor life and financial decisions is not entitled to take the money of somebody else who makes good decisions. They are entitled to smarten up and make better decisions. Somebody who is ambitious, productive, and successful is not obligated to carry people who are not. If you don't like this simple fact of life, feel free to stick your head back in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist.

If you have to work 80 hours a week for min. wage what will you have to show for it? Nothing

If you could have 1000 people work for you what would you have? You wouldn't have to work & you would spend your whole life just hiring people to do your work. Think about it. This is why it never pays for anyone who isn't in the top 10% to vote for a republican.

Ambition, Luck, Talent, Intelligence.

Life is a crap shoot. Where my family comes from, almost everyone had just about the same amount of money, zero. Well, almost zero.

Did Steve Jobs steal his money...What about Will Smith, Beyonce, Madonna, Sandra Bullock (who gives giant amounts to charity), lottery winners...

because owning 65% of the nation's wealth in 1980 wasn't enough for them.

that's why they convinced so many of us to vote for reagan, who started the policies that resulted in their massive increase in wealth.
