Who has Dish TV in Henderson/Las Vegas?

Who has Dish TV in the area? I am interested in the $19.99 package they offer in mail promos and on the internet. What do you get? Do you get news channels with this? Fox, CNN, MSNBC. I would like at least one. Plus am sure would get local channels. I had Cox and it just got too expensive now have Century Link on a promo, and it is okay but the price will increase in a few months. Any help would be appreciated. **************I did call the Dish people and got a salesman with an attitude and all the guy wanted to do was upsell me, never got answers to my questions.

Thank you again.

Try live chat that may be a way to get the information. I am interested in answers, as I am not that happy with my TV provider and would jump on $19 a month.

We don't have Dish, but personally I would avoid it. My friend had it for a while. They never told her about the price increase after a few month. There is a steep increase which they convienently leave out of their commercials.

Dish also told my friend that they needed a credit card when they came to install it. They never told her that it would be used to do automatic draft checks every month to pay. I think she got into an agruement with them over that because she gave a debit card. Every month she still send in another check or something. When she found out what they were doing they refused to send her back her check.

Additionally, they are always changing the line up and getting rid of channels. Don't be so sure of getting all the local channels. I think the latest one to go was channel 8 which is a local channel. It's horrible. Plus all the times are different. There's alot that they don't tell you when you sign up.

I know about the high cost of Cox. That's who we have. I don't know how he does it, but every couple of months my husband manages to get us three free months of HBO and Cinemax. I think he threatens to leave altogether and get a Roku device.

In a few months we will be switching over to the Roku device for real. My husband's parents bought one to give us at Christmas. If you haven't seen one you somehow plug it into the TV (I think you need to have a newer TV with the internet connection) then you use it to get Netflicks, Hulu, etc straight to your tv. You can even watch live streams of news programs so its not just movies and shows.

We are sooo tired with Cox. Over a hundred channels and there is never anything good on. With the Roku, you pay for the device and then $8 or so per month for the services you want. Some of the services are even free.

PS The Dish people not answering your questions properly should be a HUGE red flag
