How do I "uninstall" DirectX 11 and replace it with DirectX 9?

I'm trying to play a game that will not work with DirectX 10 or later (even with Compatibility Mode enabled).

You can not go backward to 9. What you need to do is:

Compatibility mode for XP SP2 AND in the compatibility tab :

    Disable Visual Themes

    Disable desktop composition

Hello, you are automatically strolling the trendy variation of DirectX in spite of what the sport requires, they're backwards-suitable. Home windows 7 can have DirectX eleven to be had in home windows replace. It does not add any new aspects, though. If you're jogging windows XP then DirectX 9 is the today's you can use. Arnak
