Breastfeeding during pregnancy, anyone?
I'm still nursing my 16 month old & I'm 4+3 weeks pregnant. So far my milk is the same, and my daughter doesn't notice a difference (that I can tell) and everything is still 'normal' around here.
Did your milk change at all during pregnancy? Did it cause weaning? Did you encourage the weaning? How old was your breastfeeding child at the time?

I have continued to nurse through each pregnancy after my first. In fact my soon-to-be two year old is nursing now and I am expecting number 3. It will change towards the end of the pregnancy and that can throw off your nurser for a little bit, but they will often start right back up after your milk comes back in. As long as you have a good diet, take your vitamins, and you drink enough for your growing baby, your nursing little on and for yourself, you will be fine. In fact, it can be super helpful when you new baby is learning to nurse and you end up engorged, your solid nurser can step in and relieve the problem. As I like to say, the best pump you can have is your little one. Lol! ;-)
And as long as you continue to drink enough for everyone, you can continue to nurse both and will produce enough for both. Just like if you had twins.
Add: They only reason why your doctor would have you stop is if you are having complications in the pregnancy such as the above poster. If all is going well, you will be fine to keep on nursing.

My mom is nearly 25 weeks pregnant and my 8.5 month old baby sister Kiara is still nursing just fine, it doesn't seem to have changed as Kiara is still nursing reguarly like she always has, and so it hasn't caused her to notice yet or to wean (yet anayways) which is good as my mom plans to breastfeed her for at least 2 years if possible.

I'm was still heavily nursing my 2 year old when I got pregnant with my now twins. I had to quit however not because of the milk change but because it kept causing my uterus to contract which was the last thing they wanted since I'm carrying momo-twins (identical twins/same sac).

You can feed ur child but you should take care of ur diet.
Better to ask ur doctor.

I was told its not a good idea for a woman to breastfeed/pump while pregnant. Not sure the reasoning. Ask your OB.
