In his speech McCain also suggested that America should be at war in 5 other countries as well. McCain thinks Afghanistan should be a perpetual war. If there was "cut and run" in Afghanistan, it was done by Bush, who cut back our forces in Afghanistan in order to bolster his new war in Iraq. Obama committed to a surge to establish sufficient control over the Taliban that withdrawal with honor is an option.
