I'm not sure if i want to be vegetarian or pescetarian?

I don't think it's necessarily wrong to eat meat, but i believe the conditions animals are raised in for factory farming is wrong. So I've been vegetarian for almost a year. However, I've been doing some research lately looking into the bad side of soy products (which I eat a lot of). It's got me wondering if I should start eating seafood again and cut out soy products. If I did this, I would try to choose from sources that use sustainable fishing methods. What do you think? I really care about animals... Would this make me a hypocrite?

I don't know anything about soy products really but if you love animals and are doing this solely to save their lives then I would personally stay vegetarian or go vegan. Besides, there are many other benefits to being veggie than saving the lives of animals. Do whatever makes you comfortable, I personally tried being veggie but couldn't get past the unhealthy fake meat products. Is there anyway you could be veggie without consuming soy? ...I can imagine that would be difficult.

Well to start off you shouldn't eat any soy products, they're not healthy and don't give the best source of protein, nuts are a better more natural source. Second I think vegetarianism is very hypocritical, no offence, but it doesn't make sense that your against the torture and slaughter of animals yet still condone to the rape of them. I'm just saying, if your truly against the things they do towards animals, then you should become a vegan and just avoid any contact with the meat industry. If you don't think your able to commit to a life of a meat free diet, then just eat meat like the rest of the world or at least stick to a lean meat diet to have a healthier life. Also to answer your question, it is hypocritical to eat fish but be against animal torture, although they have a fairly healthy free life they, have feelings and suffer too by being suffocated. It's really up to what you believe in and want to live by so I hope this helped.

Congratulations. As for farming methods. I agree, the biggest killer in America is the meat industry. Vegetables rock! Eat them as much as you can. Heck I'd go deeper like eating vegetables from Japan. Seaweed, renkon (lotus root), gobo (burdock root), and even things like Nagaimo (Japanese dioscorea opposita). I'm telling you, other healthy nations even put American vegetarians to shame. As for fish? If you are so worried about animal rights, how about invasive fish? Asian Carp is just ruining our pristine river systems in rural America. Why not eat them? It's a great way to resolve the issue and get Omega-3 which our bodies need?

Yeah..if you don't want cancer I would start eating some fish. You can also get grassfed beef, eggs, and chicken if you have the money... These are extremely healthy. You'd feel like a new person after being a vegetarian for so long...
