That's an interesting question, and all Christians should be living as if the rapture was going to happen tomorrow. It is true no man knows the day or the hour, but what if a believer dies before the rapture happens? Surely the most important thing is to be living our lives in harmony with God's will today. Then we need not worry if today is our last day, or if the rapture happens tomorrow.

However, the Bible does give us clues about what must happen BEFORE we get to the rapture and the second coming of Christ Jesus. For one thing, we are still awaiting the fulfilment of 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4: “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for [that day will not come] until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshipped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”

My NIV Study Bible notes say that at the last time there will be a falling away from the faith (Matthew 24:10-12; 1 Timothy 4:1). But here Paul is speaking of active rebellion, the supreme opposition of evil to the things of God. The man of lawlessness is the leader of the forces of evil at the last time. There are many “antichrists” (1 John 2:18) and this may be the worst of them – the antichrist of Revelation 13 – although Paul’s description of the man of lawlessness has some distinctive features. He is not Satan, because he is clearly distinguished from him in verse 9-12: “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.”

He is not merely a political or military man, but claims a place above every god and everything associated with worship. He even claims to be God and makes his blasphemous pronouncements from God’s temple. Satan empowers him with miracles, signs and wonders in order to deceive. God uses sin to punish the sinful. The lie is not just any lie, but the lie that the man of lawlessness is God.

I don't think that has happened yet. Neither has there been a peace treaty signed with God's people, a treaty that will be broken. So I don't think it's going to happen this year, or in the next decade. But God is in charge of the timing, so we need not fear. In the meantime, we should be living each day to the glory of God, pointing others to Christ Jesus as the way, the truth and the life.

I am now not approximately to head trying to find a few random preacher on Youtube for those who cannot a minimum of furnish a hyperlink. This could now not have whatever to do with a comet that's meant to look approximately that point? If so it would possibly not be the primary time anyone attempted to hyperlink a comet with the "Rapture". Google "Hale Bopp Heaven's Gate" EDIT: appears like my bet was once right, he does someplace in that video hyperlink the Rapture with a comet. Look on the feedback underneath the video: "I desire Pastor JD could have stated in which he received his information from at the brown dwarf idea" "September 28?? Rosh Hashanah?? I learn that it is meant to be the nearest to the earth on October sixteen!h" "My peers, unfortunately the knowledge related to the comet is erroneous. Please study for your self what actually. NASA taunts at such knowledge. I am definite the pastor supposed good, however in those instances, we MUST watch out? what we instruct/proportion/pontificate! Be a well Berean! Blessings! Maranatha!" THAT was once simply 3 of the feedback approximately the comet, there are a minimum of a couple of extra that I noticed.

Been ready...but not going to happen yet read Matthew 24:4-15

I haven't been put to death or even had my life threatened because I love Christ. So until that time comes I don't expect the end of the world to come. It is bad, but it isn't bad enough IMO. There are still good people out there.

Also, I haven't seen the political figurehead antichrist. Maybe Obama will be reelected and he will claim to be god...I hope so. It does seem rather close.

I believe evolution religion is bringing many to being antichrists (nothing more than an atheistic spirit). But I believe when the generation who has been taught evolution as a religion and that there is no god but they are from the beasts and that generation is old and the last of the Bible taught people are almost gone. Then I would expect there to be enough for an antichrist to make people believe he is God.

Right now too many people know the Bible but give it several more years of this evolution abiogenesis junk to spread and nearly wipe out all knowledge of the Bible.

The new world order, one world government, has not came about yet.

Flippin' heck, now I've heard it all! First off, you mess around with a Jewish festival to make it into something Christian and call it 'the Feast of Trumpets' (I guess because you don't understand what Rosh Hashanah means or signifies). But then you go and conflate it with a bonkers bit of fundamentalist Christianity and think you're going to get raptured then!!!

    You're bonkers.

  • Doesn't the belief in some rapture say God is a liar?

God says a first resurrection at Christ return and we will stay on earth to rule with Him for a thousand years then comes the second resurrection for the rest of mankind to be taught His ways.

neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of God, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Heres a short but good video about the rapture. http://infusecgi.org/

I and my family are ready. I am praying my website helps others to see the need to be ready as well. If Obama wins this country will be in chaos and subject to nuclear attack. I am sure God won't let us be here for that.

oh no, is this another false prophecy going around? No one can know the date. Some think we will go at the last trumpet I know, but we can't know the date, and I don't believe it can be this soon either.

  • Many are idiots, this has been said time and time again. Only to be proven false every time. But if you will tell me where the feast is, ill come by and get some grub.

answer: I'm going to laugh HEARTILY. Why is that some Christians fall for cultist that date their "rapture" on a JEWISH holy day that has nothing to do with Christian beliefs?

Keep your beliefs out of Jewish holy days, please

there is no "feast of trumpets" - that's a Christian made up name

    Ernie: Try a better translation

Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest unto you, a memorial proclaimed with the blast of horns, a holy convocation.

horn - shofar - not "trumpet"

Rosh Hashanah is not a Christian holy day. Keep the incompatible beliefs of a divine, sacrificed savior out of our holy days.

I hope Christians won't lose all their faith and blame God when the tribulation hits them without any rapture occurring... because that is exactly what the Deceiver is counting on when he spread this particular deception.
