air intake on a Jeep Wrangler?
To any Jeepers out there, I am new to jeeps and in April I got my hands on a 09 Sahara 2 door. I have decided to start upgrading and was thinking about doing some work with the famous underpowered engine it has. So my first question would be replacing the stock intake. Are there any BHP gains documented or is it just a better sound, also will this compromise my jeeps ability to go through water. I belong to a few forums and asked this same question there and got mixed results. Some forums tell me it has gains in BHP but loses the ability to ford water and others tell me its just a better sound but doesn't lose the water capability. Anyone out there have a strait answer for me???
P.S. I have had cars with CAIs on them so I know the BHP gain is small

Short of a supercharger or turbocharger NOTHING you can do is going to make any significant improvement in either BHP or MPG. Your money would be better spent for off-roading which the Wrangler does very well.
