Is wifi bad for the health? Will Internet, iPod, phone use, give me cancer?

I am concerned and scared about this. I often put my iPod or phone in my bra or the side of my pants when I don't have pockets. I think I'm getting direct exposure or something. Does it have radiation?

I also listen to music with earphones almost all the time, even before sleeping. Will I suffer any hearing loss?

Btw, to a certain contact of mine, I am not ditching you on messenger. I am on mobile right now and I'm not supposed to be. I should be asleep, but I'm too lonely and anxious. So please don't think I am ignoring you. :( I just can't work the messenger on this thing.

Wifi uses radio waves. It's harmless. You're more likely to get cancer from being exposed to light :) Cell phones are a slightly different story; they use a signal to identify with networks that can occasionally blip into dangerous frequency ranges. Just don't keep one smashed against your face all the time, though, and you've got nothing to worry about.

The earphones will damage your hearing over time if you regularly expose yourself to loud music. If you keep the volume reasonable, you're fine.

Source(s): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thum... That's an electromagnetic spectrum. The types of radiation on the right are increasingly dangerous (ultraviolet, X-ray, gamma ray), and the stuff on the left is harmless (radio, microwave, infrared).

I wouldn't really worry about the cancer stats, but you shouldn't ever use your electronics at the gas pump(especially mobile phones). It's a fire hazard. Your biggest worry is using earphones at high levels and falling asleep with them on can cause injuries, too.

You could suffer hearing loss if you're listening to it loudly. As for the other stuff, I wouldn't worry. They say everything can give you cancer. Later on we'll read articles of studies finding that Y!A can cause cancer. Don't worry though.

I've wondered this myself. I usually try to keep my cell phone away from my body as much as possible. Not sure whether the radiation from wireless routers is harmful or not, but I do sometimes think about that.

Yes, your iPod emits radiation. But so does the sun. And your television. And your computer monitor. And the street lights. And your house lights. Et cetera.

    I wouldn't worry about it.

While it is radiation and any kind of long term exposure is toxic, I certainly hope you (nor anybody) get cancer.
