Oh my gosh, TY, and TY Kels, Queen is my fave group and we have so much of their music. Kels shared a great tribute and I can't ever pick a fave of theirs cuz there are so many references in so many of their songs, even pulled from single lines in the lyrics.

I don't wanna offend any other musical group, but in my opinion Queen is probly the most unique in their sound and lyrics. This is so a cool beans question.

Freddie we were too young to stand in the long lines

sweating, giggling in the heat to find

front row seats, treated to the deafening screaming

as the hall filled in the streaming,

then a momentary hush as with the band

you began to sing, touched young girls hands

I bet some thought they would melt

    dates maybe jealousy felt

even some so bold, so daring

tossed intimates to the stage, swooning, caring

    Not caring tabloid trash

but you're not forgotten no matter how you crashed.

I apologize, not having the time to do a proper piece, but yes he will be celebrated, by me anyway, until my final day.

This may not be their most radio played songs but it is "one" of my faves and relates, at some point later, to Freddie.

Rest gently Freddie, but rock on,,,sobs.

Already made my cake for Freddie :) and I painted my nails black too, of course (just one hand.)

MQ: Favorite Freddie moment would have to be when he said "Oh, I was not made for Heaven. No, I don`t want to go to Heaven. Hell is much better. Think of all the interesting people you`re going to meet down there!".

Favorite Queen moment would be Live at Rainbow.

Favorite Freddie song is "Living on My Own" and my favorite Queen song as always is "The March of the Black Queen"

I absolutely love Queen, I remember how I really started listening to their music as well. I go through my dad's old CD's pretty often, because we have the same taste in music, (or had, this was all his older stuff) and behind one of the cases of CD's I found a Queen box set, and fell in love with all of their stuff. Anyway, Happy Birthday Freddie, you will be missed!

Though a bit before my time, my GF and I have long held Queen and Freddie in the highest regard, and we have their complete catalog.

This may be our favorite tribute to Freddie.

With your permission I'd like to pass this on to my GF who might want to create a poem.
