Should I use my iPad for reading books, or stick with Nook?

I got a Nook when they first came out, and I love it, but I don't use it much. I do use my iPad for my sheet music, etc., but I haven't started reading books on it yet because I prefer the e-ink screen.

But I'm moving now, and I have to pare down my bookshelf and switch to eBooks for much of it, so ... is it worth getting the Nook Simple Touch, the one that glows for reading in the dark? Or should I suck it up and just read on the iPad? The Nook seems cheap enough that it would be feasible, but at the same time, I don't want to get something unnecessary. I'm just not sure if it's worth the upgrade from my original Nook, which works fine but doesn't have brilliant battery life.

What do you think?

If you've got an iPad, and don't want to spend the additional money and have the additional clutter of another gadget, then just read the books on an iPad. I personally wouldn't want to plonk down money for a one-trick-pony kind of device like a Nook; and iPad is a much more useful computing device, and so if you're wanting to read digital books, then go ahead and use it for that.

of course, but if you get an iPad you can also read nook books on iPad.

although the nook is cheaper than Ipad but it is not a very good one! I'm not sure if subsequent nook versions fixed it's issues or not, but based on my experience with the original Nook I personally would never buy one or recommend one again.

there was very noticeable and very annoying lag with page turning, navigating through stuff not purchased directly from B&N was a giant hassle, and battery life was terrible.

or if you want to read nook books in yor ipad, you can refer to this article to get the idea.
