If you freeze cooked chicken wings, how long will they stay good?
I want to bake some hot wings and freeze them until the football party in two weeks. Can I safely do this?

Absolutely safe.
The big thing with freezing foods successfully is storing them in air tight containers, whether that is a zip bag, special freezer paper or a plastic container. Air is your enemy in any freezer and its was causes freezer burn, which is NOT dangerous but tastes nasty.

Yeah definitely. I used to work a pizza place that would store their wings up to 6 months.

About a year if you can get the air out of the package. After that, they're still ok to eat but they lose their flavor.

the assumption in the back of putting them in chilly water is via the fact (in the event that they're storebought pre-pro) they're already cooked, and of direction warm water might overcook them. they would be superb
