2 AnswersPhiladelphia9 years agoWhy do ALL of the political candidates break God's 9th Commandment and then call themselves Christian?
"Thou Shalt not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor." Every single candidate has lied about the other candidates. And then, they call themselves Christians. They are all sinners ...no better than anyone else, and much worse than most of us because they spread their lies through the media and do it deliberately.

3 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling10 years agoWhat charitable organization will pick up a used clothes dryer (in perfect working condition)?
Got a new washer/dryer combo today. My Maytag died and I was told it was a $600 repair. The matching dryer is in perfect condition, and I'd like to donate it somewhere rather than have it thrown out.

5 AnswersPacking & Preparation1 decade agoWhen should I let the sparrow go outdoors again?
I have three good answers already to my original question and the sparrow I am trying to save is now eating fresh seed (I dropped water into it's mouth and then some diluted chicken cat food). I sprayed his eyes with water and he's opening them more, too, and fluffing his feathers. He was so weak last night, lying still on the towel I put in his box. Today he is up and moving around, is now eating and drinking and pooping, but has not yet tried to fly out of the box and there's currently no lid on it. He's staying in there. At what point do I take him outside in the box, open the lid and let him free again? It is 70 degrees in the house and only in the 50s outdoors. Oh, and thanks for everyone's help in saving this little bird!
1 AnswerBirds1 decade agoHow can I save this sparrow?
I found a sparrow in my bird feeder and it was motionless. It is breathing, but it will not open it's eyes or eat. I watched it an hour and realized it was ill.As it was going down to freezing last night, I decided to put it in a large shoe box with seed, water, and raisins and keep it warm overnight. It lay on it's side all night. This morning, it sat up and drank some water from a dropper, but is not eating. It is sitting there with it's eyes closed. Is there any hope for this bird? I can see no injuries.

5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoWhy do politicians and other famous people risk their careers?
I understand that important men often have affairs because they love that they can attract young, beautiful women, and it boosts their self-esteem and feeds their egos. What I don't understand is...given that they almost always get caught eventually, and incur scandal and loss of family and their careers...why do they take the risk of losing everything they worked so hard for just for sex?

5 AnswersBoston1 decade agoWhen does a free speech statement become treason?
The governor of the U.S. state of Texas has suggested it's time for Texans to secede from the Union. In a state where the majority of people carry guns, there are a few crazies who might actually start rioting and trying to build up momentum for secession. While, I believe in freedom of speech, I am not sure it's ethical or legal for an elected official to urge secession. Isn't that at least bordering on a act of treason?

What is the lowest temperature where my carpets and wood furniture won't be damaged?
