Youtube is full of videos labelled like this "4chan epic gifs" . What does this mean?
I'm 42, so please no big technical answers, dumb it down for me., i'm not fluent in computer jargon. I'm seeing this 4chan and gif stuff all over, curious what it's about.

4Chan is a popular website with forums on different topics, and has the status as being essentially 'the centre of the internet'; as to say, lots of popular internet culture comes from there.
A .gif is a type of image that is animated, but is generally only a few seconds long and small.
So these would be a short 'video' of sorts, that came from/was found on/became popular on 4Chan.

gifs or "Graphics Interchange Format" are moving pictures. Almost like recording a short video. (2 seconds).You would see gifs on Yahoo users.
