Help with understanding probability trees?

Alright, so in Math class, we're working with Probability and mostly using Probability Tree Diagrams. The problem is, I don't totally understand the whole concept of Probability Trees. I listen to our teacher and everything, but the rest of the class is so loud that I get distracted easily and forget. Can someone please explain Probability Trees and how to use them?

Thank you very much!!! =)

Here is the high-quality way to appear at this crisis: If the probability that Gary passes is 0.Eight and the likelihood that Emma passes is 0.9, then the likelihood that they each cross is 0.Eight*0.9 = zero.Seventy two. Because of this the chance that either ONE does not cross is 1 - zero.72 = zero.28 or 28%. I hope that helps! Just right luck!
