Can I start on Clash of Kings?
I went to a bookstore earlier today to buy The Game of Thrones (first book), however -- they only had books 2, 3 and 4. I went ahead and bought book 2. Would it be okay if I started on that? I've watched the whole series.

You will miss a lot of the connections from book 1 if you start book 2....the series leaves out a lot of details.

Well you already know what happens so I guess. But the book usually always have more information and events in them than the movies/tv shows so you might come across plots that weren't in the show. Your choice.
