GS: Do you think some people here should turn off their TVs?

I don't care if they turn their televisions off or not, mostly because it isn't any of my business. But I do agree that some people need a reality check.

I didn't spend the amount of $$$ on the TV itself and the premium satellite hook-up to turn it off! I bought it to watch movies and sports and it is a wonderful thing.

I know 'real life' and you can love it if you want, it is tough, ugly and difficult; on the other hand, it is beautiful too. I am old enough to know the difference in RL and entertainment, thank you very much.

Yes, we should totally ban tv.............. and just watch stuff on youtube, lmao.

Btw, TV does have news, documentaries, etc, which do represent some aspect of reality, and educate us about what is happening in the world.

There is a time and place for TV, like when your child is off sick from school and you can watch cute little seals and kittens on their channel! Instead of blaming the TV, we should blame cheap nasty journalism!

I once turned off my TV and went into the real world. It was extremely scary and I went back home quickly.

I canceled my cable service 6 months ago. I don't miss it one bit! Look at all the money I'm saving by not subscribing to the garbage that's on cable.

Yea, I hate T.V. We live in the 21st centry 2012 and we have Facebook which takes over and YouTube, Skype etc...
