Converting percents to grams?

If a 300ml soda contains .05% sodium and .6% aspartame , how do I figure out how many grams of each there is? Im so confused so any advice is welcome, my text book is failing me and I have been trying to figure this out for hours! Thank you in advance

    I'm studying first year Chemistry at university at the moment and I still get confused by these.

    First you need to find out how many grams there are in 300ml which is 300g

    300g ---------> 100%

    100% ---------> 300g

    Sodium =

    1.0% ---------> 300/100 = 3g

    0.05% --------->3 X 0.05g = 0.15g of sodium in solution

    Aspartame =

    1.0% ---------> 300/100 = 3g

    0.6 ---------> 3 X 0.6g = 1.8g of aspartame in solution

    Ps. You should always include the 0 before a point "."

    Hope this helps :)
