For denialists who ask "what do you mean", see this q for a perfect example of this ignorance:

They would rather stick to the convenient "cherry picker" excuse than learn truth.

    Sad, but true.

Yes, we know, the Old Testament is irrelevant except when it says something that supports your own prejudices, like gays being an abomination, which is in the same part of Leviticus as the Jewish purity rules. The things that support your own hatreds are valid for all time. How convenient.

Jesus replaced the Ten Commandments with two, but Christians never want those posted in public spaces. They only want the Old Testament version displayed. If the New Testament version were to be displayed it would tell everyone how little attention modern fundamentalist Christians paid to that version and expose another layer of hypocrisy.

So yes, we're "dim-witted" for noticing your cherry-picking.

If atheists call Christians names - like dimwitted - you people scream loud and long about how evil we are. Yet Christians have no problem at all being insulting and rude. I've read the Bible many many times so yes I understand the difference between Mosaic Law and the New Covenant. But I don't recall a single verse that made insults and name calling OK.

Do you care to spell out THAT for me?

Well, I can take on pork.

There's a parasite life cycle involving them. Eggs are buried in feces, the pig eats them off the ground via grass or other means, the tiny larva then hatch, and burrow into their bloodstream, and embed themselves throughout the animal's flesh. Humans eat the larvae along with the meat, and get stomach worms, and deficate eggs in their feces.

Simple sanitation and properly cooking the meat gets rid of this, but back before we knew all about the causes of illness, it was easier to blanket ban anything that might make you sick.

    sure, I'll help

stupid things in the old testament prepare the faithful for stupid things in the new testament.

Only the truly deluded or ignorant would believe any of the miracles or rules in the bible.

They are all made up crap, and it should be obvious to you. The fact that it isn't makes you look kinda foolish when you are talking with educated adults.

The folly of it is that you still pull quotes out of the same book to justify other stances and still follow the Ten Commandments which are Old Testament, yet you ignore those.

A folly spawned by ancient needs and customs.

    Irrelevant now.

The Levitical law and its restrictions were specifically for the theocracy of Israel, not the New Testament Church.

The Torah was written at a specific time to a specific people for a specific purpose. It must be understood accordingly.

I'm with you. I've explained the differences between the covenants ad infinitum. The old covenant was given at Mt Sinai to God's chosen physical people, Israel. Jesus came to change the covenants from physical to spiritual and instituted the covenant of grace that we Christians are blessed with. We are no longer under law, so those laws no longer apply.

Are you trying to say something? Go on. Go on boy! Speak! You can do it!

Also the link that you posted was made by someone we call a (say it with me now) "T.R.O.L.L." He is saying what he is saying to make you mad. Get used to them. And, because he is a troll, don't make it seem like all Atheists think that.
