Should I accept a promotion?

I was just offered a promotion from my current level of management to a higher one, but am unsure about accepting. I am very good at my current job, I enjoy it, and fit in well with my team. In my new position I would work with a new set of people, and have responsibilities outside my area of expertise. The pay would be a little better, but the hours are longer. It would help further my career if I accepted, but I am worried I'll be stuck with a job I hate. Any advice?

You should accept it to raise your bar and to develop more on your talent. You might be finding some difficulties in adjustment with new people but you never know right? On the other hand, your old friends from old department could still be your friends, tough.

To add more connections & friends will never harm you unless you make bad days for others.

Sometime we could stuck with something we not enjoy but who knows that is a step stone to open a new challange for you & few monts from now you could have another better opportinities?

The higher the tree, the stronger wind will blow and hit the tree,

Unless, you want to stay where you at now & afraid to move on, but opportunity will not come over and over again.

You're taking on extra responsibiities and so this should be reflected for your pay. Seem at different identical roles to your sector and the traditional pay for your variety of labor, thats customarily the high-quality justification. Alternatively, receive the advertising, work there for 9 - one year and transfer on to one other Assistant manager's role and get the pay you deserve.

Refusing a promotion doesn't usually sit well with upper management. By not accepting it one of your current team will likely be your boss.

If you don't, you'll never learn anything new or get any better. The bottom line though is, you have to live with it, not me.
