Piercing parlor d.i.y?

Ok so my navel piercing is almost completely healed. I want to get the bar changed soon and i have tons of nice, good quality bar bells that i bought. Problem is, the ball on my current bar is so damn tight!!! I was wondering if i go back to my piercer and get it changed, would they let me put the ball on myself so i can make sure i can easily change my bar whenever?

    i'm sure they would happy to help you,my piercer told me to come back when each one healed and he would teach me to change it I'm sure your is the same.
