How can I burn DVDs using Windows Media Player or Media Center?
I can rip and then burn CDs very easily using WMP, but I can't figure out how to do this with DVDs. I can't find out how to add the DVD to My Library or My Playlist if this is what I need to do. The tutorials are not helping me, and I am obviously not a computer whiz. I used to burn DVDs and CDs so easily with a free trial version of Nero, but the trial version is over. Do I have to buy a new version of Nero or possibly Roxio to burn DVDs? Both companies are making it more difficult to download free trial versions. Thanks for your suggestions!

If you want to create simple DATA dvds ie storing files and images and mp3 tracks etc then a simple programme like ImgBurn or Ashampoo Burning Studio Free should meet your needs:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/ImgBurn.html

If you want to create a DVD from video files that plays in a dvd player or in the dvd drive of your PC, then use something like DVDStyler, DVDFlick or WinX DVD Author - all are free and safe to use

Unfortunately due to copyright restrictions you are unable to burn DVD's directly from windows media player. However, a good alternative that is free and simple to use is DVDFlick. It will sort out your problem and it's free, so give that a try.
