Hey all of you who want taxes raised on everyone other than yourself. Where did your food stamps come from?

before Income Tax was approved in the early 1900's.? Oh that's right, we had to work.

Update:

food stamps" no longer exist. Right now it is EBT.

    You're saying nobody has to work now that we have an Income Tax?

    BTW: the US has had some form of public assistance long before the income tax was created.

    We also had an income tax:

    - from 1862 to 1872 to fund the Civil War.

    - and in 1894 and 1895

    i would be very happy if we ALL ( me , corporations , and the rich ) payed the pre reagan era fed tax rates .
