i sent in an application online to sainsburys for a job, but i realised i missed some crucial details but now i have submitted it, i cannot get it back to change/ add them!
it provides the option to withdraw the application but if i do that i might lose the job offer

You haven't been offered a job, so if you have only just applied, withdraw the application and resubmit it.
Otherwise wait and see if you are offered an interview and provide the missing info then.

If you have applied, you haven't been offered a job. If you have been called for an interview, then interviewed and called for an offer, then you have a job offer. Applying isn't the same thing as being offered the job. It just means they're looking for applicants. You can withdraw the application and fill it out again if you think the missing details are that important.

Did you know the key of getting a job in the course of this recession? Follow in person. On-line is just about a waste of time - except you're a professional making use of for a job accross the country. Go in the course of off hours. No longer after dinner if rapid meals. Dresss well, and ask a cashier for an software. Fill it out. When you find yourself executed, ask for the supervisor and inform him how a lot you wish to work there. This is when you promote your self in 30 seconds and land that job. This may occasionally also exhibit them you might have transportation - you would be surprised how many humans observe that have no option to get to their jobs.
