Will Britain ever have a dry summer ever again?

With Britain have several years of wetter than normal summers. With 2012 being one of the wettest summer on record and weather forecasters saying that our summers are only going to get wetter from now on I wondering will we see any summer that is drier than usual ever again. Are we ever going to see a summer like 1976, 1984 or 1995 ever again with Britain under anticyclonic conditions during the summer months again. Or is it all over for Britain in terms of anticyclonic weather in the summer.

Listening to these weather forecasters will not do anything. Take your mind back to 2006 when they were all forecasting that our summers were going to get drier and hotter. 2007 was to be the hottest driest summer on record but what we had was a summer of torrential rain and floods and cool conditions. Summer of 2012 reminds me of summer 2006 in reverse with the weather forecasters now saying that the British summers are going to get wetter and wetter. It is possible that they will forecast summer 2013 to be wetter that 2012. It may be a good sign because what they will predict ends up being the reverse being true.

    Fingers crossed we will!

Its hard to tell if summer will be dry and hot yet seeing as we have just gone past the Summer of 2012. Our weather is peculiar, right now here in London, its warm and sunny even though its Autumn! And Summer was wet and cold. Maybe this Winter it will be warm or maybe next Summer it may be hot, we never know here in Britain! Maybe next Summer it will be hot all throughout, not just on some days. I'd quite like October to be like last year, an 'Indian Summer'! Hopefully it will!

But there is nothing quite like snuggling up in the warm with your blankets, watching TV and drinking some hot chocolate whilst the cold rain is tapping against your window! I actually like our weather, even though its sometimes too cold outside! :)

We just don't know,do we.That's why British weather is one of the most interesting. But remember it was dry at the start of the season,so dry they brought in a hose-pipe ban.

I expect next year will probably be very dry! I can remember the amazing summer of 1976 when from the spring to the Autumn,it was dry and tempretures in the 90s just about every day. There was an high pressure area stuck over the UK.
