Thoughts on Mark Sanchez's week 1 performance?

19/27 CMPs 266 YDs 3 TDs

Jets win 48 - 28.

Update:

@Chaos- He did awesome. This has to be one of his greatest Jet performances. You can tell already who the starting QB is and who the leader of the team is. Tebow is a good football player but he cannot throw the football. I wasn't even satisfied by the wildcat plays he ran. Sanchez has the respect of all his teammate he made connections with all his receivers. It will be interesting to see what comes of Tebow the next few weeks he looks like a lost puppy on the sidelines always following Sanchez around. It be awesome to trade him for a RB which it looks like we need.

Anyway, Go Jets!!!

He did good. Great. The haters can twist it anyone they want, but at the end of the day, Mark Sanchez led the Jets offense to 34 points, had a great performance, made MANY great throws and won the game. He had one interception, but that really wasn't his fault since it was off Cumberland's hands.

Also, I'll just love to give HUGE props to the Jets offensive line. They completely dominated the Bills defensive line and gave Sanchez time to throw, which is essential for any quarterback. While Mark Sanchez deserves plenty of credit for his accuracy today (with the exception of some throws, but overall, great accuracy throughout the day), performance of his offensive line should not be ignored.

Getting Tebow was a wake-up call to Sanchez. It basically said-we aren't afraid to replace you. With that in mind Sanchez better step it up if he wants to keep playing. He did against the Bills (rebounded from an early interception too) Let's see if he can keep this up.
