PLUMBING/TOILET problem??? :( any advice please?

Ok... plain and simple lets not spend HOURS of reading!

Bought new (fixer upper home) because we are broke and had some money for minor repairs...

Home has 1 toilet and a crawlspace underneather the house, it is also on SEPTIC tank.

We have had some pipe issues that have been fixed, and well the toilet has been messing up.

Ok to start there is a pipe we are aware of that is broke and leaks the bathtub water straight under the house- it is the only one still leaking. Anyways the bathroom sink I believe drains INTO the toilet- I seemed to think while I bucketed out water into it which did not get me ANYWHERE, then tried the tub and it went down.

Well we had roto rooter here, spent approx $400 he snaked, he augered, he took the big 300lb machine all the way OUT and after about 4 hours of work, he got it cleared... which was about 6pm.

Here now at 9pm, the SAME PROBLEM, the toilet won't flush!!!! It is doing the SAME THING... It does not overflow completely but to the rim, and if flushed twice it MAY overflow, not going to do that though. The plumber with the claw maching pulled out chunks of insulation, baby wipes, and roots! A good little baggy of stuff, and all seemed well.

I am wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what I should do... yes I have called them back and I do not think they are going to fix it... I dont know, I have to wait another day for them to come. I guess I am wondering could this mean the septic tank just needs cleaned out possibly? I have no CLUE if or when the other owners ever cleaned it which they lived here ohhh 40 years! There is no water backup though... or any problems with the kitchen sinks....

ANY ADVICE... this is a total disaster especially having a 3 year old... Things are very unsanitary right now after all the work and it just continues!

I hate to say it - but from what you've described - it's time to have the tank sucked out. my guys will do that, and then snake it out to be sure that anything backed up is clear and flowing. always gets it done. Ugly, but someones got to do it.

Septic tank needs dug up at inlet side. There should be an opening covered by a small concrete lid . After opening, the inlet pipe should be visible and above liquid level of tank.If liquid level is above inlet pipe your laterals have failed and need replaced. If liquid level is below inlet pipe your sewer pipe going to tank needs cleaned again.Septic tank should be cleaned out every 5 years if it is properly sized. Most are too small and need cleaned out more often

pricey Jess, I wish there became a standard answer to those themes. funds and how that is dealt with has a tendency to be a significant situation in both Christian and non-Christian marriages. St. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:21 that we are to positioned up ourselves to at least one yet another contained in the phobia of God. that is clearly extra elementary reported than performed. In my marriage, it has taken 5 years to plot a gadget that works for us and retains funds disagreements to a minimum. I had to furnish somewhat (i'm the saver) and he or she had to furnish somewhat (she's the spender). regardless of the reality that our gadget isn't suitable, at the same time as 2 people are prepared to artwork mutually there is wish. that is necessary that both one in all you come back up with a plan for saving, spending, giving, etc. that you both consider. Marriages prevail at the same time as both of you're waiting to assert sorry and forgive one yet another. then you quite can artwork on the priority and by no skill one yet another! once you've difficulty operating a plan that you both agree on, search for your pastor's suggestion, a economic counselor's suggestion, or deliver me an e mail with some extra specifics and that i'd be satisfied to objective to assist. In Christ Jesus, gloria-dei

sounds like the drain from your toilet is broken underground as you say roots were withdrawn from it. if this is determined i suggest having it dug out and replaced with a cast iron one to prevent it happening again.

Sounds like your septic tank is full. You may have to have it pumped out.
