What should I get/do for my godson's 1st birthday?
My god son will be 1 years old on sunday should I get him toys or clothes? If so, how much should I spend?
Someone also suggested I start a college fund for him, but I don't know if that's really something I can commit to since I'm 23, still in school and don't have any savings of my own.
Please give me lots of opinions :)

Toy. if you can afford it (about $80) they have tricycle that are great. They come with handles for parents to and pedals for later. They adapt from age one to about 3. it would be something the child could get lots of play time with over the years. If you get a regular toy please remember if it makes noise or plays music it is great if it has an on/off switch or volume control.

I like to give children toys. I think that clothing is a gift for the parents and not the child :). You should spend whatever you feel comfortable with, I am sure that you were chosen as the Godmother not because of your financial situation. You could also buy him something from "things remembered" to mark this special birthday.
