Is the trinity really a Bible teaching?

The trinity has been defined this way “Three divine Persons (the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost), each said to be eternal, each said to be almighty, none greater or less than another, each said to be God, and yet together being but one God.” Is this a Bible teaching?

The Jews believed “You must never have any other gods against my face.” (Deuteronomy 5:7)

Deuteronomy 6:4 reads: “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah”— not three in one. Israel had just been liberated from Egypt, where Osiris, Isis, and Horus—one of a number of triads of gods—were worshipped.

Since Jesus was a Jew by birth, he was instructed to follow this same command. After his baptism, when tempted by the Devil, he said: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’” (Matthew 4:10; Deuteronomy 6:13) We can learn at least two things from this incident. First, Satan was trying to entice Jesus to worship someone other than Jehovah, an attempt that would have been absurd if Jesus were part of the same God. Second, Jesus made it clear that there is just one God who must be worshipped when he said “him alone,” not “us,” which he would have said if hewere part of a Trinity.

When people come to an accurate knowledge of God and want to serve him, they are baptized “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit.” (Matthew 28:19) They understand and accept the authority of Jehovah and the role of Jesus Christ in the outworking of Jehovah’s purpose. (Psalm 83:18; Matthew 28:18) They also comprehend the function and activity of God’s holy spirit, which is his active force.—Genesis 1:2; Galatians 5:22, 23; 2 Peter 1:21. The Trinity doctrine has confused people for centuries. On the other hand, Jesus enlightened his followers and directed them to “the only true God,” Jehovah.—John 17:3.

No, because the trinity is a false doctrine that is being taught by false teachers. Those who believe in the false doctrine called the "Trinity" are the ones who own the book called "the "Torah."

The Torah, the Tanakh, the Ketuvim, the Nevi'im, and the Qur'an was created by the Pharisees (A.K.A. THE ANTI CHRIST). The Torah is like a distorted version of the bible. They committed the act of plagiarism by leaving out all the important books of the New Testament, by leaving out all the 34 important books of the Old Testament, and by adding in an additional chapter called the book of Pentateuch to create themselves a book called THE TORAH! I want you to be aware that the book of Pentateuch is not in the Holy Bible.

The only purpose for why the Pharisees created the Torah to begin with was because they were against Christ. They were purposely trying to destroy Jesus Christ's image/reputation by denying the New Testament scriptures since the New Testament scriptures mentions about Jesus Christ's testimony which mainly speaks about his coming as the messiah, his death on the cross, and his resurrection on the third day. It also mentions about the New Covenant that we are under. Jesus has witnesses to proclaim the light, and yet people reject the light. That is why they are all in darkness.

God warned everybody through the word to not subtract or add into his word, but people who own the Torah are too blind to see that they are breaking this serious command due to the fact that they are supporting the garbage book called the TORAH.

    READ:

Revelation 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

The Pharisees a.k.a. the Jews hated Jesus since the time he came into the world. Why do you think they put him on the cross and killed him? The New Testament has been around before and after Jesus even existed. The bible is a prophesy book that will be fulfilled. PROPHESY MEANS "THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE!" Why do you think Jesus was trying to rebuke Satan by reading off of the bible???

The reason why I believe the Torah is witchcraft is because the Satanic Pharisees (A.K.A. THE ANTI CHRIST) had put an evil spell on those Torah books to entice/seduce people to believe that Jesus is not the Son of God. Those who are deceived into believing that Jesus is God has gotten their information from a another source, not from the Old Testament scriptures of the Torah. Jesus name is no where in the 5 books of the Old Testament scriptures. So how in the world did the Torah owners find out about Jesus? BY OTHERS! How did they believe that Jesus is God? FROM THE FALSE DOCTRINE CALLED THE TRINITY WHICH IS NOT TALKED ABOUT IN THE 5 BOOKS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT! Why did they fall for that heresy? I know the answer, I know the answer!!! It's because they don't believe in Jesus, the coming of the Messiah.

God's word never changes. God is NOT an author of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).

    =======================================…

The whole trinity theory is a man made lie because it does not line up with God's word. It's all base off of man's own theory/belief.

If you have read your bible, you would have known the answer without having to question it. Don't let no one deceive you. Every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world (1 John 4:3).

READ THESE TWO BIBLE VERSES FROM "THE KING JAMES VERSION":

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

1 John 4:15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.

Works based salvation will not save no one in the end. John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that whosoever BELIEVES in HIM, should not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE. We are cleansed/purified solely by believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins, and who was resurrected on the third day by the power of God. READ: Romans 10:9 and 1 John 5:1-12. We only receive grace due to believing that Jesus is the Son of God. Once we believe and have faith our Messiah Jesus Christ, we are to follow his father's examples by obeying and keeping his commandments that are written in the book of the law. Faith without works is dead, so we must show ourselves approved by being willing to do the will of the Father who is in Heaven (James 2:14-26, 2 Timothy 2:15, and 2 Timothy 2:21).

Source(s): Also, the false doctrine called the RAPTURE is not in the scriptures either because the WORD rapture is not mentioned in the bible. The resurrection of the dead is only mentioned in the bible. The TORAH denies all of those important prophesies mentioned about the coming of the messiah and the resurrection by denying all of those books FROM THE BIBLE that mentions about it. THE ONLY TRUE BOOK THAT YOU CAN OWN IS THE (KING JAMES VERSION). Everyday I see false Christians complaining about how we shouldn't follow man, but yet, I see false Christians following FALSE teachings of man through those popular (controversial) doctrines called the TRINITY and the RAPTURE which are Jewish myths that God/Paul warned us not to follow. There are more of those false doctrines such as "Once Save Always Saved," and etc..., but I can't name them on top of my head right now.

No. Not only is the Trinity Doctrine unscriptural, but...

"Jesus Christ never mentioned such a phenomenon, and nowhere in the New Testament does the word `trinity' [nor even the concept] appear. The idea was only adopted by the Church three hundred years after the death of our Lord; and the origin of the conception is entirely pagan." - The Paganism in our Christianity, pp. 197,198, Arthur Weigall.

    IF JESUS IS ALMIGHTY GOD...

    1. Then why is "God the head of Christ just as Christ is head of every man"? (1 Cor. 11:3)

    2. Then why does Scripture consistently phrase Jesus as a separate person from God? (John 20:17; John 14:1; Mark 10:18; John 17:1-3; etc. Also in heaven, 1 Cor. 11:3; Luke 22:69; etc.)

    3. Then how can Jesus *have* a God? Could Almighty God have a God? (Mic. 5:4; Ps. 45:6, 7; 89:26; John 20:17; Rom. 15:6; 2 Cor. 1:3; Eph 1:3; Col 1:3; Mark 15:34; John 17:1-3; Also in heaven, Rev. 1:6; 3:2, 12)

    4. Then why does Scripture say he was born and is part of Creation? (Col. 1:15)

    5. Then why does Rev. 3:14 say that Jesus is "the beginning of the creation of God"?

    6. Then why is he subject to GOD, like we're subject to him? (1 Cor. 15:27, 28; Eph. 1:17)

    7. Then why does Micah 5:2 say that Jesus' ORIGIN was “from early times”?

    8. Then why is Jesus still subject to God when he is as high as he will ever be? (1 Cor. 15:27, 28)

    9. Then why does Proverbs 8:22-31 show that the Messiah was CREATED / PRODUCED by God?

    10. Then why is he not powerful enough to subject things to himself? (1 Cor. 15:27, Eph. 1:17, 22)

    11. Then why would he have to be given any power and authority? (Mt. 28:18; 11:27; Jn. 5:22; 17:2; 3:35; 2 Pet. 1:17)

    12. Then why did he have to learn anything? (Heb. 5:8; John 5:19; 8:28)

    13. Then why did Jesus call the "Father...the only true God"? (John 17:3)

    14. Then why did he have to be exalted to Leader and Savior? (Acts 5:31)

    15. Then how could he be exalted and given a higher name than he had? (Phil. 2:9-11; Heb. 1:2-4)

    16. Then why did he have to be given life in himself? (John 5:25,26)

    17. Then how can the Father be greater than he? (John 14:28)

    18. Then how could Jesus be tempted by Satan when God cannot be tempted with evil? (James 1:13)

    19. Then why did he worship the Father? (John 4:22)

    20. Then why can he not do anything on his own? (John 5:19; 6:38)

    21. Then why does John 1:18 say that Jesus is God's "only BEGOTTEN Son"? ASV

    22. Then how can he be God's servant? (Acts 4:26,27,30)

    23. Then how could he be a mediator between God and man? (1 Tim. 2:5)

    24. Then how can he be God's image? (Col. 1:15; Heb. 1:3)

    25. Then how could he get commanded to do anything? (John 12:49; Deut. 18:18)

    26. Then why did Steven see two separate entities, GOD and Jesus, and not just one God or three persons? (Acts 7:55)

    27. Then how could he be seen at GOD's right hand? (Luke 22:69; Acts 7:55; Rom. 8:34)

    28. Then how could Jesus be exalted (not to become God Himself, but) to the position at the "right hand OF God"? (Acts 2:33)

    29. Then why is he called God's "begotten" Son before he came to earth? (John 3:16; Gal. 4:4; 1 John 4:9)

    30. Then why did he not come in his own name? (John 5:41-44)

    31. Then why did Jesus "come down from heaven to do" God's will and not his own will? (Luke 22:42; John 6:38; John 5:30; John 8:42)

    32. Then how could he die? Can God die? Can part of God die? (Rom. 5:10; Acts 5:30; 1 Cor. 15:3; Hab.1:12; cf. 1 Tim. 6:16; Num. 23:19; Ps. 90:2; Dan. 6:25-26)

    33. Then why is it that God resurrected Jesus? (Acts 2:32)

    34. Then why was he seen by men if "no man has seen God at any time"? (John 1:18)

    35. Then why is there not one clear scripture where Jesus is called "God the Son," (equal to those declaring "God, the Father)?

Not at all. Trinitarian Christians believe in three gods:

    1) God

    2) God's wife

    3) God's son

This is totally against the Bible.

The Bible never explains the Trinity, but it asserts it in many places. All three were present at and involved in the Creation, the Exodus, our salvation, and most other important events in the Bible. All three dwell within the believer.

We are God’s Temple in 1 Corinthians 3:16. The Holy Spirit is sealed within us in Ephesians 1:13-14. God dwells in Jesus and Jesus dwells in us in John 17:23. Jesus is clearly described as God in the flesh. John said so in his Gospel (John 1:1), Paul said so in Colossians 1:15-20. The writer to the Hebrews said so in Hebrews 1:3, Jesus said so in John 10:30 and John 14:9, and God Himself said so in Hebrews 1:8.  In Revelation 1:8, God said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega” and in Rev. 22:13, Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega.” The only way this could be true of both is if they are one and the same.

In Hebrew, one of the names for God is Elohim. It’s a plural word and hints at His triune nature. It’s the word translated God in Genesis 1:26, where the triune God is talking to Himself, saying, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.”

Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God (Elohim) created the Heaven and the Earth. Genesis 1:2 says the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) hovered over the waters.

John 1:1-3 says “In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” To make it clear he was speaking of Jesus, in John 1:14 he wrote, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

And in Colossians 1:15 Paul said, “He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

It’s clear that each member of the Trinity has accepted a different role, and that Jesus and the Holy Spirit submit to the Father’s authority. But I believe they all share the same attributes, since they are all one.

One God in three persons is an essential belief of Christianity. It’s one of those things, like the eternal nature of God, that we cannot fully understand. We can barely understand our own physical world let alone God's spiritual world.

Since the trinity is the most dishonest of all the false teachings, there is no way it is Biblical. They say it is, but they have to imply it's there.

Also, when we just sit and read the Bible, we see the trinity is exposed as false.

I asked them to explain 2 Corinthians 1:3 to me and never get an answer. I get a song and a dance about everything else but never that scripture.

They also have no answer for the scripture at Rev. 3:12 where the glorified Jesus is in heaven, yet, speaks of "My God" 4 times.

I've asked for ONE scripture saying the Holy Spirit is God, equal to God, shares power with God. I get it's implied.

This is just from scripture. When we look into the history, the Catholic Church, the originators of this heresy, admit it's not in scripture. Enter the Nicene Creed, backed by a pagan politician and adopting pagan traditions. They chose to rebrand it Christianity but the truth is it's still rejected by the Almighty God Jehovah.

A Trinitarian concept contends that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are one in holiness, love, glory, wisdom and eternal power; but, three in Person. No Scripture can be found to support such a concept.

    Note the following:

His holiness (not their holiness) - Ps. 47:8

His love (not their love) - Rom. 5:8

My glory (not our glory) - Is. 42:8

The only wise God (not the wise three) - I Tim. 1:17

His eternal power (not their eternal power) - Rom. 1:20

The term persons (plural) used in reference to God does violence to the oneness of God. "I am the Lord.. .and my glory will I not give to another." Is. 42:8.

The Bible proves that God is ONE IN PERSON. John declared, "...I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and ONE sat on the throne." Rev. 4:2.

God was manifest in flesh as the Man, Jesus of Nazareth, who is the Son of God, the Christ, and our Savior; that in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily; and that the name JESUS is the only personal name of Deity given among men whereby we must be saved. (1 Timothy 3:16; Romans 1:3; Matthew 16:16; John 4:42; Colossians 2:9; John 5:43; Hebrews 1:4; Philippians 2:9; Acts 4:12)

Scripture does not support the statement that within God's being are three persons. God is one individual, one person who was imaged forth on earth as Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:3 speaks of God and man, a visible image of an invisible God. It does not put forth the idea of a plurality of persons in the Godhead, nor does any other scripture.

    NO!

    God is a singular being.

Some preachers would have us believe that the Spirit of the Father is the first person of the Eternal Godhead, and that the Spirit of Jesus Christ is the second person of the Eternal Godhead, and that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the eternal Godhead, but unfortunately for them, that JUST IS NOT SO.

God is not composed of three eternal spirits.

Jesus Christ did not come to this earth with only one person out of three dwelling in Him. No, sir!

The fact stands that Jesus Christ is the incarnation of the only One Lord, One God and One Supreme, Sovereign Deity.

In Him dwelled all the fullness of God BODILY!

I John 5:7 says, "There are three that bear record in Heaven,"

    There are three what?

Three persons? No. IT DOES NOT SAY THAT!

Three deities? No, it does NOT SAY THAT!

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost? NO! It doesn’t say that either.

It says that there are three that bear record in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost.

And it emphatically declares: THESE THREE ARE ONE!

The Father IS the Word. The Word IS the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost IS the Father.

Jesus Christ is the invisible Father robed in flesh.

Jesus is the fullness of God come down from Heaven to earth.

Thomas called Him, "My Lord, and my God." That is a doctrinal statement for a Jew who only believed in the Father.

Stephen saw the glorified Son of Man standing at the right hand of the Father, but John saw that same man sitting down ON the throne, and in Revelation 22:1 he called it the throne of "God AND the Lamb."

Jesus is both the Shepherd and the Sheep. He is both the King and the Prince. He is both the Father as Spirit, and Son as Man. One Lord. Two natures. One God. Spirit and Human.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4(King James) says)3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Those that have their minds blinded by Satan can't see the truth because the truth is hid by Satan so they cling to false teachings(2 Timothy 4:3, 4) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.

With blind minds they can't see truth!

    Jhn chapter 1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

    Jhn 14

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

    Jhn 5

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Trinity is a false, unbiblical doctrine.

Ancient Babylonish paganism c. 2200 B.C. Brought into the deflected "Christian church" about the second century, being especially established in the Nicene Creed, A.D. 325. (See McClintock and Strong's Cyclopedia, under "Trinity"; The Two Babylons, pp. 16,17.)
