Looking to build a high performance 360?

Hello, I have a 2000 Ram 1500 with a 318 currently. I am looking to build a forced induction 360 with a possibility of the use of nitrous. I will be starting with a bare block. In order to accomadate this, what are some things to keep in mind? Also, if there are any good links that have good guidance I would appreciate it.This is not my first engine build but it is my first Mopar and first forced induction build.

Any advice, thoughts, and guidance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Update:

Thank you, you are correct and I am going to use your advice. I will be sticking with forced induction instead of nitrous. I have decided on a rotating assembly. 1-48025BI from Scat. I have been advised that I will be wanting to achieve 8.0:1-8.5:1 compression and will have to order custom pistons to accomadate. I will be ordering it from www.cleggengine.com. They have the best price and their customer service is excellent.

With all of that said, any suggestions on a cam and heads?

I am about 4 months away from starting this project (due to the logistics of my job) so my goal is to build with a solid plan.

Thank you!

Forget using nitrous along with a turbo or supercharger unless you wanna always run 104 octane Turbo Blue racing gas and don't mind replacing head gaskets every so often. You need forged internals for forced induction: Forged pistons, connecting rods and a forged crank. Big money $$. And if you want a highly boosted engine to last, you should mod it to have piston oil squirter's. They shoot engine oil under the extremely hot piston to cool it a bit, preventing detonation and allowing more boost and or timing. Oil squirter's is a trick used on many boosted cars from the factory to allow 100K mile + reliability.

I agree - you would either use nitrous or forced induction

I would also look at going the crate motor route as an alternative - it may be cheaper
