Using a TV for a Computer Monitor?
I'm looking to buy a 24 inch HDTV but I'm going to use it as my computer monitor instead of a television. It will mostly be used for gaming and watching movies/TV shows. I've read that using HDTVs that big for computer monitors causes text to be somewhat blurred. Is that true and if so is it worth buying the HDTV for a computer monitor?
I am choosing a 24 inch HDTV over a 24 inch computer monitor mainly because they are cheaper. At Best Buy the cheapest monitor in that size is about 200 dollars plus a warranty and tax. A 24 inch HDTV only cost about 150 with another 15 dollars for a warranty and tax.

Yes, all TVs have the same 1920x1080 HDTV resolution. The important thing is the DPI (dots per inch). Since all the TVs have the same number of dots, the DPI gets smaller as the TV gets bigger. But, at 24 inches it won't make much of a difference. As you get up to larger sizes, such as 40 inches, you will notice that computer graphics and esp. text will look blurry.
FWIW: You can get a 24" computer monitor with 1920x1080 resolution, so why get an HDTV?
