You should have been taught that Zen (Ch'an) is one of the schools/ sects of Mahayana Buddhism. This link will show you the differences between Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism. http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/snapshot02.htm

Many of the sutta/sÅ«tra texts are different. TheravÄda uses the PÄli canon Tipiá¹aka/Tripiá¹aka. MahÄyÄna has many suttas outside it and is often in Sanskrit.
The Buddha at one point sent out his Arahant disciples, at that hearing about 3000 of them, to spread the Dhamma/Dharma. He had 12 main disciples, each almost equaling the Buddha in one area of their powers or understanding.
Many of the different schools are a result of the spread of Buddhism after the death of Buddha. Distant lands without immediate connections like the internet or airplanes. Indirect spreading of the teachings. Not everyone having access to the original Piá¹akas.
Also different sects hold different metaphysical theories, while the Buddha rejected all metaphysical theories as being beside the point.
And if anything, the Buddha recognized any division as something very negative to the practice of the Noble Eightfold Path. That practice of the Path was what they now call Buddhism. The Buddha created the order of monks, but recognized that people can also practice the Path as lay people and housekeepers. Any denominations are this division. Now people wanting to join the Order of Bhikkhus, the Sangha, have to select from many different sects.
Be well.

Google is your friend here.
A passing grade means that you are able to do the assignment.
If you are truly unable to do the work, then it is not right to get a grade that says "this person can do the work".
I can't help you cheat.
