I'm due to start university very soon but I am very worried, any help please?

I'm due to start university very soon (in the UK) and I'm very worried. I'm a shy person and I'm really worried about going to the point where I'm dreading it.

I want to meet new people, gain new friends etc, but I'm not the most outgoing person so I find this a little difficult sometimes.

Could anyone give any tips/advice to help me look forward to the experience, or how to deal with it better?

University is a totally different vibe than school and it doesn't matter if you are shy or not you will always make friends as people are nicer, friendlier and it's easy to make friends as people are welcoming and will make the effort to talk to you. There isn't that childish and immature high school mentality anymore. At your first week at university you will be able to make friends very easy - you will have orientation where you will meet your fellow classmates and you will also play games to know each other. The whole week is to get a feel of the university but to also meet new people. I was also nervous when I started last year but it's very easy to make friends. Also you will meet friends of friends and you can ask to hang out with each other and you will meet more people there. You also have lots of presentations and group work to do in your first year, so there you will be mixed with loads of new people and you will have loads of different friends (: you can also join clubs to meet new people like sports clubs or the CU.

Good luck and don't sweat it :)

Just think, when you started school you still made friends :) Even if you're not the most outgoing person you'll bump into someone and they'll say hello - you'll get partnered in class for groupwork - someone will ask you for help with a question. All simple things lead to friendships naturally, don't worry too much about it :)

It relies upon on the the remainder of the week's artwork and such. no count if it truly is a few thing that doesn't take too long, oftentimes the evening beforehand. no count if it truly is an prolonged paper, i might ruin it up into managable chunks and do some of it the weekend beforehand it truly is due.
