macbook pro or macbook pro retina display?
so i decided to save my money for a apple laptop...
i'm wondering if i should get the normal pro or the one with retina...
there is a pretty big price difference..
it's either the------>normal 13-inch macbook pro with the better specs for 1500
or the------>15-inch macbook pro with retina display for 2200(the cheaper one)
it would take me some time longer to save for the retina display...
do i really need it? right now i only have a couple hundred saved soooo...yeah
please compare...

Do you really need to have the best screen resolution in the world? Or you just going to use it for other things, like internet usage in which sometimes you don't care about the display? I would just go with the cheaper one since it has better specs, I like a better performance level overall.

I like the idea of you getting the non-retina display for the computer and getting an iPad3. Unless you are doing photo editing or something like that, you can make do with the regular screens which are still beautiful. What ever you do, find a store that has both and go play with them. See if you really need the new display or if you can make do with an iPad3 (which I do have and it is wonderful) and a MacPro.
Only you can really decide, it is you who will be using it, not me or any other person on this list.

Go for Macbook Pro. The new Retina display reduces glare while maintaining incredible color and quality. In fact, it has a 29 percent higher contrast ratio than a standard MacBook Pro display. Blacks are blacker. Whites are whiter. And everything in between is rich and vibrant. IPS technology gives you a wide, 178-degree view of everything on the screen, so you’ll see the difference at practically any angle. And you’re going to love what you see.

If you are not a game freak or a high level graphics designer you don't really need a retina display. I say go for the Apple MacBook Pro MD101LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop. Read this review to make your decision:
http://www.amazon.com/review/R1HSLOPERWGAVY/ref=cm...
The main difference between the 2 is the simple macbook has 13.3 inch LED-backlit display, 1280-by-800 resolution where as the retina macbook has 15.4-inch LED-backlit Retina Display, 2880-by-1800 resolution. Performance wise they don't differ very much you wont feel a huge difference. So save your money and get the discounted laptop.
