Don't forget that Christians killed many innocent people on trumped-up, spurious charges of heresy during the Inquisitions and the Salem Witch Trials.

Also, Christians killed each other with startling efficiency during the Thirty Years War.

ADDENDUM: Whether the atrocities committed by the Christians occurred 400 years ago is irrelevant (The Holocaust was in the 1930s and 1940s. That is hardly 400 years ago.)

What is relevant is the old adage that the pot should not call the kettle black.
