I want to learn to play guitar. Can someone help me pick out a good cheap beginner guitar in the price range from $100 to $150 dollars. And do you think I would need lessons?

The very best thing to do talk around in circles of friends, beighbors, relatives, and locate someone who has played guitar consisltently for 10 years or more. Get the names of good guitars from them. See if they will help you find one on Craigslist.

Some people might say they're crap because they're cheap but you can't go wrong with a Squier by Fender Bullet Strat. They play great, sound pretty good and they look just like a regular Fender Stratocaster.
