Missing Shutdown Options?
I went to school and connected my laptop to their wireless settings, which disabled my Task Manager and my shut down options, including hibernate, sleep, and shut down. I'm back at home and have signed off of their network, but the shut down options have not come back?
OS is Win. 7

shut off computer completely. whats your operating system? xp, 7?

Click start menu and type regedit and hit enter
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Policies\Explorer
view the following:
Key Name: NOCLOSE
Key Type: DWORD
Doubleclick Registry key to set value:
change value:
1 = Disable shutdown
0 = Enable shutdown
now all you have to do is restart windows and shutdown will appear on start menu
