A few questions for you, rock and pop?

1) What is your opinion on dubstep?

2) What is your opinion on funk?

3) Do you have any local bands you'd be willing to share that are not dubstep?

4) If a dog has dog breath, does a rooster have c*ck breath?

5) Do you like mixes?

6) Would you listen to a dubstep or funk mix if I insisted that they are really very good?

And, for the record, no, I have no interest in hearing Palmetto again, in case ...... actually answers questions and comes across this one.

Update:

Welcome to Yahoo! Answers, newbie. Here are a few surefire tips to making sure your stay here is as pleasant as possible:

1) Don't make an a.ss of yourself by needlessly insulting entire genres. Simply saying "I do not like X genre because of A, B, and C" will suffice. You won't win friends by being hostile.

2) When we say "local" we don't mean local to where we are. We can find bands from our own area. We *also* don't mean popular bands that are on the radio. If they're mainstream, odds are we've heard them before.

3) Don't say stupid things. You can ask stupid questions, 'specially when they're intentionally stupid (id est trolling or general silliness for the sake of entertaining your peers.)

4) Don't forget to respect those who know what they're talking about. If you say something and someone proves you wrong, don't argue, just admit you're wrong and maybe reconsider your opinions a little bit.

Update 2:

Only 2 had specific relevance to this question, the rest are just general advice.

Also. Dubstep is not alive, it can not die.

Update 3:

Mohak, I could definitely jam to this. The guitars remind me a lot of Maiden, and that's not a bad thing at all.

Seeing as you said you'd be willing to give them a shot, here they are:

Funk: Lazy Sunday Selecta, put together by Breakbot, a sort of electronic funk musician. He's pretty awesome.

Dubstep: VA Chillstep Dreams Vol. 1, put together by a youtube use named fmxz0r. He's not a musician, but his mix is pretty fantastic.

    1) I can't stand dubstep. I think it just gets very redundant very quickly.
