will the Wii U be stronger against hackers or will it continue on?

ever since the Wii came out years ago, it was filled with hackers due to the "homebrew channel" and been using it for basically for cheating purposes rather than "modding". in my opinion, modding is another form hacking regardless how everyone says its not because it requires for one to hack the system in order to do the hacking. back to the question... is the Wii U will now combat against hacking or is it still yet unknown to the public because i really hate hacking with a passion.

Hard to say until the Wii U gets out to the public & the modding community can poke & prod the system for exploits.

Considering that the Wii U will be utilizing an internet connection for the majority of services, Nintendo will likely have stronger monitoring of the Wii U's connecting to their services to detect hardware or software modifications... but this is complete speculation on my part.

If the softmodders find a way (say 6-12 months after release), you can see a homebrew community form for it as well.

At the moment, i don't believe there's any/much info. Hopefully there should be some info soon, and if not, then i guess we'll find out at the system's launch.

Likewise i hope their security's better as well. Since Nintendo's going with an account kind of option for the Wii U, hackers should easily be identifiable, and banned. If it's tied to an e-mail address, or a Club Nintendo account, then it would be a lot more work just to hack on the console. On the Wii it's fairly simple from what i've heard.

Nonetheless, Nintendo should improve the security dramatically. They've been hacked (by Lulzsec), and the Wii was nearly completely exploited with homebrew. I think they should have learned their lesson by now, and if not, then it would be a disappointment. They will likely have to continue updating the console's frimwire to keep out softmodding, but it would be a disappointment if the console was hacked successfully within its first year. They should take a lesson from Google.

As for hackers, you've only really seen one side of hacking. Although i agree with you, my stance on hackers is fairly simple:

When playing on the Wii: if in an online game you share your abilities (moon jumping, infinite ammo, super speed hack etc) with everyone else or make lobbies larger (6v6 or 12 player FFA in Black Ops), then it's fair game, otherwise no hacking.

Some hackers make actual mods in games like in Super Mario Galaxy 2 courses, Mario Kart Wii custom tracks, Super Smash Bros Brawl custom character skins, custom stages etc. That's a side of hacking i find interesting, and i think it would be awesome if more developers took advantage of this too. Some developers already are like Bungie, and have included some form of editing in some games. Map editor, SSBB stage editor, modnation, infamous 2, etc

I hope this answers your question,
