Spilled water on phone (not touch screen), functions but screen is white?

I didn't even spill a lot of water, maybe a tablespoon, on my LG500, and ran to get some paper towels. Came back, I can unlock it, but the screen is white. If I press buttons, I hear noises, and in fact (I haven't tried) I could PROBABLY make a phone call. So it's functioning just fine, ASIDE from the screen. The screen stays white, and refuses to show anything. Booted it up and shut it down a couples times, works fine like I said (the screen does dim and brighten as it's supposed to), just. Doesn't display anything. Any help?

Update:

If I put my phone in rice, should I take the back and battery out?

Have you tried putting your phone in rice? Rice normally soaks out all the water.
