I can tell ya that you definitely won't get it if you don't try. The only way you won't get anywhere is if you don't try for it. On the other hand, you have a lot better. Vance of getting it if you really go for it.

From what I hear, restaurant management is a tough gig, so be prepared. At the restaurant I used to work at there were several managers who would actually try to talk people out of it.

But it can be good money and if it's what you like then you should go for it! Realize that if you're asking this question, some of your coworkers are probably doing the same. And as long as you put yourself in the spotlight first you may have a good chance. The sooner you do it, the better!

Right now your focus should be on getting that degree. The jobs will come at a later time. Your losing focus of the big picture. I ended up quitting college to be a General Manager Assistant. Big Mistake on my part. Don't try to do both. School takes a lot of effort. Take it seriously. I'm now back in college 18 years later to finish what I started. Learn from me. Good Luck.

I agree with E you need to try. If you never apply then how will you know the answer? I was determined at a yong age to make management and I did by being a hard reliable worker. So give it a shot it does not hurt to do it. The worse they will say is no, but they also might offer you more training so you can apply again for the next position. It will say your eager to learn and advance.
