99 mustang idle help?

I just bought a 99 mustang v6 auto, 149k miles. Sitting for a couple weeks til today. Everything is pretty good and runs pretty well, except it has a bit of an excited idle. It fluctuates from 1100 to 1500rpm pretty regularly. I Added Seafoam to the half tank of gas. It idles more consistently when the AC is off, but still at 1100rpm. Any ideas what I can do to lower that idle to a more reasonable and consistant 6-700rpm like it is supposed to be?

If the engine is surging, could be a dirty air filter, or dirty mass air flow sensor. Take the air filter out and start it, see if that makes a difference. Also unplug the maf sensor and see how it idles (dont drive it with it disconnected though.

Check the IAC on the back of the throttle body, it may be dirty and stuck. Also a bad coolant temp sensor will do that
