How much would a dentist cost without insurance?

I haven't seen a dentist in almost 3-4 years and despite how much I brush my teeth, I'm afraid I have to see one. I have little cavities here and there that I want to get patched up (I've gotten fillings before, so it's no big deal) but this time I don't have insurance and I want to know how much it'll cost to get something like this done. Any information you can give is fine. Thanks in advance.

It depends upon your location. In my state an exam would be around $100, set of X-rays would be around $150, and a filling would be around $175. I you had a dental discount plan you'd save 50 - 60%, or if you went to a dental school you'd probably save about half.
