Has Microsoft Lost the War?

My new Computer with windows7 , just died from being overwhelmed by a "Win32:fakeSysdef-pj Virus

That's it for Windows for Me!

I put Linux Umbutu, on my spare Computer, and I couldn't be more pleased with its Functions, Free Programs, and Ease of Use, and it Didn't Cost a cent.

Goodbye Gatesville.

Update:

I can't be bothered, going through all the hassle of finding a fix, doing this, doing that!

I've been doing that for 16 years, I've had enough.

I hope, for your sake, you'll have a better experience with Ubuntu than I've had. I am extremely close to deleting it and going back to Windows full time, as much as that may annoy me. I've had nothing but trouble from Ubuntu trying to find fixes for all sorts of problems and I, not being a programmer, need simple solutions instead of being given long strings of code to edit and type to do what I need to do...

Don't get me wrong... I have nothing against Ubuntu at all. It's just beyond my skill level and requires way too much from me. For those who can use it without the headache I've dealt with, possess the skills I lack and/or enjoy the complexity, it's a fantastic system, I'm sure... Just not for me.

I switched to Linux and I have never looked back. No more virus worries, no more blue screens, no more activation cr*p when I change my hardware. LIbreOffice is awesome and does everything I need it to. If I want to do c++ code, I do it in NetBeans. I took my MS Visual Studio code and replaced some of the OpenGL libraries with open source alternatives, and it compiles and runs just fine.

And Valve is working on porting Steam to linux. Most of the games I want to play already work via wine.

What do I need Windows for anymore? Nothing. It is worthless as far as I'm concerned.
