Computer Processer Comparison?
Ok I'm trying to decide two computers, and I have NO idea whatsoever about the Processors, one computer is cheaper and has less power in general that I know of, and the other is a bit pricier but doubles the specifications of the cheaper computer.
So I need to find out which processor is better for say, gaming.
Intel® Pentium® 2.8GHz
or
AMD A6-Series 2.6GHz
just leave which one and why.
Would it be able to play games like Maplestory, Diablo, Skyrim, League of Legends etc. On high or normal and still run pretty fast?
@Emily, while I appreciate the comment, I'm just trying to figure out which processor is better for already built computers from best buy. I have two finalists on it that are decently priced, but I'm just curious which one is better because the AMD is from the computer with almost double the specifications of the Intel Pentium computer. Otherwise I would consider it if I knew a single thing about constructing computers.

Pentium is too slow for gaming but fine for everyday use. If you want a gaming CPU get the new i-5 3570 with integrated 4000 intel graphics which are actually not that bad at playing those games you mentioned above. If you don't want to spend that money you can buy a cheap GPU and the pentium but I'd rather have strong integrated graphics than a bad GPU since loads of issues playing games etc especially teamed up with a bad CPU.
Take a look below and trust me you will not be displeased with that processor.

Intel is good for work because of its stability. AMD has the Price advantage
In fact, there is little difference between them
i like Intel

The Intel Pentium processor is definitely the faster and better of the two. My personal choice for gaming is an "i" series processor such as the i5 or i7, however I have an i5 Quadcore so i cannot vouch for the single or dualcore versions.
