MTG: Mystical Tutor - what the heck? down the memory hole?

Mystical Tutor http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.asp...

If you read the text on the card and the "Card Text" to the right of it they deleted the 'mana source' from the text. I have the old version in Mirage so the ruling dictates I ignore a potential game saver? Or do I conveniently forget until someone points out the rule change *insert evil laugh*

The thing is "mana source" were Instants and Sorceries that created mana. "Mana Source" was never meant for "land". So this changes nothing.

Basic lands are sources of mana, but they weren't categorized as "Mana Source" like some cards like Dark Ritual was. Basic lands are always "Land" cards, which aren't fetchable with Mystical Tutor.

Conveniently forgetting something like that is cheating and will get you DQed. The Rules state that you go with the Oracle text when it comes to the card text.

Just so that you know, Mana source in this case refers to a card like Dark Ritual which is now an instant. It does not mean that you can fetch a land.
