What classes do you take when earning a social work degree (bachelors)?

Also, what would be a better minor with social work; sociology or psychology? Or any other suggestions

I got my BSW in the U.S., and the BSW program requires a specific number of semester hours in both sociology course work and psychology course work so there would be no need to declare or seek a minor in either sociology or psychology. I know I had at least 12 semester hours of psychology courses; and about 12 semester hours of sociology course work. When I earned my BSW, Abnormal psychology was required. Social Work specific curriculum during my program: Human Behavior in the Social Environment I and II; Direct Practice; Working with Groups; Community & Organizations; Social Policy; Populations at Risk; Children and Families; Social Work Research; Intro to Social Work; and there were a few more I can't remember off the top of my head. I also had an internship that was approximately 500 hours.

Look for the syllabus at any university offering the major.

Take a double major in accounting so you have hope of getting a job when you graduate. There are way more social work grads than jobs.
